This writer over used the words grasped, gasped, rasped, and more. The characters are all described the same way and it seemed as though they all wiggled, wove, raised, and otherwise moved their eyebrows! It would have been comical if it wasn't so a annoying. Between the grasping, gaping, gasping, and eyebrow weaving, the story was predictable and boring. Underdeveloped characters went through life's struggles with barely a mention. By the seventh book in the series, the reader should know the characters by name. The writer spent alot of time saying so n so mama, so n so father, brother, daddy etc. It was hard to know who was speaking! Overall, it was very poorly written. I also found the constant winter and freezing temperatures unbelievable. They live in Alabama for Pete's sake! Is not that cold and apparently it was only spring once in twenty years! I don't recommend this series to anyone. The writer does not quite in complete sentences and the editor and proofreader must have taken a nap while trying to get through the very predictable, boring story. The books are a prime example of why not everyone who wants to be a writer, should be published. Shame on Amazon for putting this for sale. They need to screen their books and raise their standards for submission. My eyebrows are raised. No, they're weaving. No, they're bobbing, now they're frowning. My eyebrows don't know what to do! This book is the end of a wonderful series. The writer has brought the main characters to a well-deserved happy ending. I hope that this writer will write more series similar to this one.

This book was an answer with a wonderful ending. This series of books have provided an insight to a group of several generations of people that began with self-absorbed people to the development of characters that anyone would be proud to be.
This final book of The Southern Secrets saga is beautifully written. It's about second chances, facing fears and insecurities, but most of all it's about the love of family and friends. Jeanne has said she was inspired to start writing this series because of a dream she had. So thank you Jeanne for sharing that dream with us!

I enjoyed all seven books of the Southern Secrets series! The author gets your attention on the first page of every book. I love the characters, every one of them are kept refreshed so you remember who they are. Claire and Andrews love story brought sad tears, then, happy tears.
I loved this entire series. I purchased this last book a month ago and it was the perfect book to read in the coldest week of December leading into Christmas. I wish I knew these characters personally and could have celebrated with them, walked into the front door of the Fletchers, sat at the table and Izzy's sweet bread and a hot drink at their kitchen table. I feel like I know Claire and Andrew. So much detail is put into these books! The articulation of events and the life lessons were just what my Christmas heart needed.
